What is ProSeal?

 

ProSeal is an automatic drop-down door seal installed on the bottom of the door to close the gaps when the door is closed. It activates only when the door closes, triggering the seal to come down.

What is the difference between ProSeal vs normal door seal?

 

ProSeal is an automatic door seal that drops progressively as the door reaches its final closed position. This prevents the door seal from "dragging" on the floor and preventing scratches should there be any debris on the floor. 

 

What are the advantages of installing ProSeal?

 

ProSeal can block out unwanted insects, water, sound, light and dust from outside the house.

- Water will not seep into the house from the outside while there is cleaning going on.

- Insects will not be able to penetrate the door seal when the door is closed. 

- ProSeal is useful for blocking sounds on the underneath of the door bottom gap.

After I install ProSeal, will the door become sound proof?

 

No. ProSeal is useful for blocking sound from underneath the door gap. Please take note that small levels of sound can only pass through the wooden door too.

Will it affect the door closing after I install ProSeal?

 

No. ProSeal will not affect the opening and closing of the door after item is installed. 

​

Is ProSeal installed by double sided tape or screws?

 

ProSeal is installed using screws and mounting it directly on the door surface, outside panel of the door.

Can I install ProSeal on sliding doors?

 

No, ProSeal is suitable only for swing doors. 

 

What is ProSeal made of?

 

The housing of the ProSeal is made of aluminium while the seal material is silicone rubber. Silicone rubber is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane and is widely used in seals because of its insulation capabilities in the automotive and industrial environment.

 

How long is the warranty period?

There is a 1 year warranty against the product. There is a 1 year onsite warranty when installed by Smart Home.

Subject to any statutory provisions to the contrary, this Warranty excludes any and all claims for loss or damage suffered through the use of or resulting from the non – operation or ineffective operation of the product or any part thereof including loss or damage to furniture, carpets, walls, foundations and property of whatsoever description or any other consequential loss or damage either directly or indirectly due to negligence, loss of use, malfunction, defect, damage, breakdown or leakage from the product whatsoever and howsoever arising.
 

Subject to any statutory provisions to the contrary, the liability of Smart Home for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from any defects in the product supplied (whether caused by negligence or otherwise) or for loss or damage suffered through the use of or resulting from the non – operation or ineffective operation of the product or any part thereof shall be limited to the replacement or repair of such product or part thereof or to damages not exceeding the invoice value of said product at the option of  Smart Home.
