Warranty Terms

  • Proof of purchase is required when making a claim under this warranty. The warranty is in respect of the power track installed at the address indicated on the receipt or invoice and shall under no circumstances be transferred or assigned to any 3rd party.
     

  • The Buyer shall promptly report to Smart Home within the Warranty Period any defects resulting from faults in product or workmanship. Smart Home will repair or replace any defective component of power track system which falls under the Warranty Period. All claims must be made within the respective Warranty Period.
     

  • The power track system must be installed in accordance with Smart Home installation instructions, supplied with the power track system, and installed by a certified professional.

  • Where a failed component of the power track is replaced under Warranty, the balance of the Warranty period will remain effective. The replaced part does not carry a new warranty.

  • This Warranty becomes null and void if any parts of the power track has been dismantled and re-installed, parts changed or repaired by any person other than an authorized technician or agent of Smart Home.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Repair and Replacement will be carried out as set out in the Smart Home Warranty set out above but the following exclusions may cause the power track warranty to become void or result in the owner being responsible for a service charge and / or the cost of parts.

 

  • Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the power track or any other component, including : acts of God, failure due to misuse, neglect or poor maintenance; incorrect installation; normal wear and tear; corrosion, rusting or stains; attempts to repair the power track other than by Smart Home or its authorized agent;

  • Subject to any statutory provisions to the contrary, this Warranty excludes any and all claims for loss or damage suffered through the use of or resulting from the non – operation or ineffective operation of the product or any part thereof including loss or damage to furniture, carpets, walls, foundations and property of whatsoever description or any other consequential loss or damage either directly or indirectly due to negligence, loss of use, malfunction, defect, damage, breakdown or leakage from the power track whatsoever and howsoever arising.
     

  • Subject to any statutory provisions to the contrary, the liability of Smart Home for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from any defects in the power track supplied (whether caused by negligence or otherwise) or for loss or damage suffered through the use of or resulting from the non – operation or ineffective operation of the power track or any part thereof shall be limited to the replacement or repair of such power track or part thereof or to damages not exceeding the invoice value of such power track at the option of  Smart Home.
